Monte Cristos



4 slices sourdough or white bread
1 egg
2T milk
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 slices thinly sliced ham
1T butter
powdered sugar and raspberry jelly (optional)

1.Combine eggs and milk in a bowl
2. Warm a pan with the butter on Med LOW heat until melted.
3.Place one half of the bread in the egg mixture and put it into the warm pan egg side down

4.Top with cheese,ham,and another slice of cheese.

5. Top that with another slice of egg soaked bread egg side UP.

6.Cook on each side until cheese is melted and bread is crispy and golden about 5-6 min each side

7.Top with powdered sugar and jelly for dipping.
